The WPS Programme Coordinator - Lebanon is responsible for the overall coordination, management and delivery of War Child's Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Programme in Lebanon. The role provides strategic and technical leadership for country-level programme implementation, ensuring effective planning, partnership management, programme quality, monitoring, reporting, budget oversight and stakeholder engagement. Working under the supervision of the Programme Development Partnership and Quality Manager (PDPQM), and in close collaboration with the WPS Regional Programme Manager, the Coordinator ensures implementation aligns with the regional WPS strategy, the programme's Theory of Change, donor commitments and War Child's policies and procedures. The Coordinator serves as the primary country focal point and represents the programme with national and international stakeholders, including ministries and coalitions.

Key result areas: lead coordination, implementation and adaptive management of the programme, developing country work plans, implementation schedules and risk mitigation measures; ensure compliance with War Child policies, donor requirements and organisational procedures covering finance, procurement, safeguarding, security and documentation; oversee the Lebanon programme budget, financial forecasting, expenditure monitoring, reporting and accountability; lead and coordinate relationships with the five implementing partners, fostering collaborative and accountable partnerships and identifying capacity-strengthening needs; provide technical guidance on Women, Peace and Security programming, localisation and feminist programming approaches; conduct regular field monitoring visits; work with the MEAL team on monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning systems, consolidating partner narrative and financial reports into country-level reports; represent the programme in coordination platforms, working groups and thematic networks with government institutions, civil society, women's rights organisations and UN agencies; and promote and uphold War Child's Integrity Framework, Safeguarding Policy and PSEA standards.

Profile: Master's degree in Gender Studies, International Development, International Relations, Peace and Conflict Studies, Political Science or Social Sciences (a Bachelor's with substantial relevant experience may be considered); at least 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience managing gender, women's rights, peacebuilding, governance or protection programmes in humanitarian and/or development settings; demonstrated experience with national NGOs, women's rights organisations and government counterparts; strong understanding of conflict-sensitive and gender-transformative programming, results-based management, MEAL approaches and donor compliance; experience on gender equality and women's rights in Lebanon is essential; fluency in Arabic and professional proficiency in English.

Contract: local contract with salary and secondary labour conditions based on the in-country salary scale; local terms and conditions apply.
