About this role: The M&E Coordinator will implement comprehensive monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess project performance and impact, supporting the Project Manager in the coordination, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, documentation and reporting of the CLIMATE CARE Project across consortium members, implementing partners, target communities and stakeholders. With the project's M&E framework, indicators and core data collection tools already established, the role focuses on ensuring their consistent application; tracking implementation progress and results; consolidating, validating and analysing project data; identifying implementation gaps; and facilitating timely follow-up and corrective actions. The role works closely with consortium and implementing partners and coordinates with government agencies, Local Government Units (LGUs), civil society and community-based organisations, youth-led organisations, schools and private sector partners.
Primary responsibilities include project coordination and implementation support; operationalising the CLIMATE CARE monitoring, evaluation and learning framework and results tracking; overseeing data collection, database maintenance and quantitative/qualitative analysis; partnership and stakeholder coordination; reporting, documentation and learning (progress reports, impact assessments, case studies, donor reports); partner capacity strengthening; compliance and quality assurance including regular field visits and data verification; and integration of cross-cutting themes such as gender equality, disability inclusion, child protection, Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and climate resilience.
Required education and experience: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Development Studies, Statistics or a relevant social sciences discipline; equivalent relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. More than five (5) years of progressively responsible experience implementing, coordinating or managing development, humanitarian or community-based projects, preferably with NGOs, INGOs, civil society organisations or development partners. Demonstrated practical experience in project monitoring and evaluation, indicator tracking, field monitoring and verification, database maintenance and contributing to project reviews or evaluations; experience preparing progress, monitoring and donor reports; and experience facilitating coordination meetings, workshops and partner capacity-strengthening activities. Experience with government agencies and LGUs is highly desirable; experience in child protection, climate change adaptation, DRRM, Nature-based Solutions, youth engagement, community development, livelihoods or humanitarian programming is an advantage. Strong analytical, facilitation, problem-solving, organisational and time-management skills; above-average written and oral communication skills in English, fluency in a local language preferred; understanding of the cultural and socio-economic context of Mindanao; and high proficiency in office software and statistical/data management packages.
