Assets Under Movement ("AUM+") is a purpose-built national philanthropic platform rooted in the labor movement and a resource engine connecting capital to social movements at scale. AUM+ offers donor advised funds, collaborative funds, and fiscal sponsorships. REBUILD.US, fiscally sponsored by AUM+, is advancing a new model for disaster response — channeling private donations that flow during a climate shock to immediate care and relief operations, and enlisting survivors of climate shocks to organize for systems change. Launched in August 2025, it is a fundraising and grantmaking platform moving funds within 48 hours of a disaster to experienced local leaders. Its pilot, built and tested at Organizing Resilience, moved $16m across 21 disasters to 125 local organizations. Its long-term goal is to raise and direct 10% of all private philanthropic dollars given during climate disasters.
REBUILD.US seeks an experienced Fund Director to lead the transition from startup to scale, owning the strategy and success of REBUILD.US in close partnership with its Founder and the Executive Director of Organizing Resilience. Core responsibilities: translate the North Star goal into a strategic and tactical plan with clear goals, benchmarks and measures of success; supervise and provide strategic direction for the REBUILD.US team, building structures, workflows and management practices for scale; lead development and scaling of the fundraising strategy across major donors, institutional giving, grassroots, digital and influencers; oversee the grantmaking framework including funding criteria, timelines, decision-making authority and reporting; lead rapid-response activations during climate disasters; build and strengthen national partnerships across philanthropy, labor, organizing and policy, representing REBUILD.US externally with donors, partners, movement leaders and press; establish operational and financial systems (project management tools, CRM, data sets) and develop and manage the REBUILD.US budget and cash flow.
Minimum requirements: at least 10 years' experience with five or more years in a senior leadership position in a large-scale non-profit, philanthropy, and/or a political or policy campaign; demonstrated experience building, launching and scaling startups, organizations or major new initiatives; experience leading a remote, high-performing, multi-disciplinary team at scale; experience managing a multi-million-dollar budget; a robust network of individuals and institutions across related fields; ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels; proactive strategic thinking with a bias for action; deep commitment to disaster-impacted communities and a survivor-centered, justice-oriented approach to recovery (direct experience with climate disaster response, organizing, or survivor communities is a strong plus); exceptional relationship-building skills across staff, media, funders, movement partners and survivors.
Salary: $150,000 - $180,000, commensurate with experience. Full Time, Executive level, U.S.-based remote position with domestic travel as needed. Benefits include 100% employer-paid health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401k match, PTO and leave policies, professional development funds, and a remote work stipend.
