The Programme for Emerging Infections under the Infectious Disease Division undertakes a wide range of activities to address infectious disease challenges, including TB diagnosis, enhanced detection of resistant and pediatric TB, genotyping, integrated TB services, and other initiatives utilizing innovative portable radiography with artificial intelligence and laboratory-based technologies.
Position Description: The Health Technologist (Radiography) will report to the Research Investigator (RI). The position holder will perform all X-ray-related tasks (radiography and imaging) in healthcare facilities, TB Screening and Treatment Centers (TBSTCs) or communities. Specific areas of responsibility include: enter patient data and conduct required patient screening; capture, upload, and process quality X-ray images using AI-supported software; operate and maintain X-ray and related equipment and report technical issues; conduct community X-ray campaigns with extensive field travel; maintain individual X-ray records and required data in hard copy/software and conduct patient follow-up; support health activities and perform other assigned project tasks.
Required qualifications and experience: Minimum Diploma in Medical Technology (Radiology & Imaging). 3 years' working experience in conducting X-rays; candidates having experience with TB services, handling digital X-ray systems, and tele-radiology will be given preference.
Location: Anywhere in Bangladesh. Number of Positions: 50. Contract Type and Duration: Short-Term; duration will be 03 months with a possibility of extension, subject to availability of funds and performance.
Salary & Benefits: Tk. 33,397/- per month (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances; festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
