Role
* preparing and researching news stories and reports for wide videos and verticals, social media, online, and TV for DW correspondents; planning and research for the topics
* producing content and editing videos for various social media platforms (including delivery to internal DW stakeholders and external distribution of videos and articles)
* newsgathering (press conferences, briefings, daily breaking news, releases from other organizations, interview requests, research on experts, key figures, etc.)
* organizing DW's coverage of social developments and news events throughout Europe, such as European summits
Profile
* completed university studies in a relevant field
* previous experience working in a journalistic environment, with journalistic skills, research experience as well as a strong network
* very good knowledge of EU affairs and institutions
* excellent command of English (min. level C1) and very good command of French (min. level B2), German an advantage
* very good social media skills
* excellent planning and organization skills with a proactive, pragmatic, and hands-on approach
* ability to work in interdisciplinary and diverse teams, high level of intercultural sensitivity and respect for diversity
* flexibility and willingness to travel
