FIF works closely with financial institutions and funds across the range of AIIB-covered sectors, geographies, client types, and products as a conduit for AIIB to deliver its Corporate Strategy and targets. In addition, FIF focuses on the ongoing expansion of business, targeting opportunities that have high alignment with AIIB’s sector strategy and private capital mobilization to close the infrastructure investment gap in Asia. This includes investment in CLOs and other structured products.

The Investment Associate will assist senior team members in the origination, structuring, and execution of investments across AIIB’s entire product offering. They may also be required to provide portfolio and investment monitoring. This role is placed within the financial institutions vertical. • Analyze financial statements, and assist project team leads in structuring transactions.
  • Prepare financial models to assess the commercial and financial viability of projects.
  • Support internal coordination through information exchanges, and work with relevant divisions of the Bank.
  • Support the senior team and management in achieving targets and objectives.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant work experience in financial institution, corporate, or project finance gained in multilateral development banks, commercial/investment banks, ECAs, international credit insurance companies/broking firms, and/or international financial institutions. Experience in the financial institutions sector will be an advantage.
  • A master’s degree in business, economics, finance preferred. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree will also be considered provided additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a master’s degree.

  • Experience using available research tools, including Dealogic–Loan Analytics and Bloomberg, and market publications and bookrunning platforms such as Debtdomain, Intralinks, and Syndtrak.
  • Experience in structuring comprehensive solutions across financial products using debt, private equity and funds, and/or capital market instruments.
  • Experience leading or managing projects will be an advantage, with the ability to identify, engage, and work with different stakeholders across the private and public sectors, such as issuers, institutional investors, regulators, banks, and other intermediaries.

AIIB is committed to diversity, transparency, and inclusion. We believe our strength comes from having a team with the right diverse skills, experiences, and abilities selected through a merit-based competitive process. We actively encourage applications from people from both within and outside AIIB members, regardless of nationality, religion, gender, race, disability, or sexual orientation.

Join in AIIB’s mission to promote sustainable infrastructure investments and to improve social and economic outcomes in Asia and beyond.
