The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) is a globally recognized sustainable-development think tank with over 30 years of experience, headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with a diverse team of over 300 experts working from offices in Canada and Switzerland and other locations worldwide. The Project Manager (Economic Law and Policy program) leads the successful execution of assigned projects throughout the project cycle, serving as the bridge between stakeholders and driving the project plan, coordinating delivery of activities, and ensuring tangible results. Responsibilities span the program and project levels: program governance and management, finance and accounting, information systems, and communications; project design, planning, and governance including proposal development, grant agreements, and donor reporting; project operations including delivery management, risk management, and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL); and project support including contractor administration, project finance and budgeting, logistics, information systems, and supervising assistants. Requirements: minimum 5 years of relevant experience; an advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., project management, sustainable development, accounting), with project management certification a plus; experience managing complex, multi-year projects, MEL, finance/accounting/administration, and procurement and contracts management. Location: Remote in Germany, Portugal, or UK; candidates must hold appropriate work authorization without sponsorship from IISD. Salary (Germany): EUR 50,500-58,700 annually (progressing to a maximum of EUR 66,900); Portugal EUR 43,000-49,600; UK GBP 37,300-42,400. Full-time, replacement role with an immediate start.
