Oak Foundation Denmark is seeking a programme officer with solid experience in programme and grant management to support the foundation's initiatives in Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands. Working closely with the executive director, you will help develop these initiatives and manage day-to-day operations. Oak Foundation Denmark supports organisations that work with the people and communities who have the fewest opportunities to create the lives they want. The secretariat consists of just two people, so your contributions will have a significant impact. Responsibilities include: developing and refining the foundation's programmes, initiatives, and partnerships; monitoring developments within focus areas and identifying new opportunities; assessing applications, project proposals, organisations, and potential grantees; evaluating applicant organisations' management, governance, finances, capacity, risks, and expected results; preparing grant recommendations, analyses, risk assessments, and decision briefs; monitoring grants; building and maintaining relationships with NGOs, civil society organisations, foundations, and government agencies; representing the foundation in networks, meetings, and conferences; collaborating with international colleagues; and handling administrative and coordinating tasks. You have at least 15 years of direct experience with grant administration and project management, significant experience presenting recommendations to decision-making bodies, and a solid understanding of civil society organisations. You hold a master's degree (e.g., political science, sociology, economics, law, public administration) or a professional degree as a social worker with relevant advanced studies. You possess a high level of professionalism in written and oral communication in Danish and English. This is a full-time position based in Copenhagen with some travel expected, including to Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
