Responsibilities include:
- Attending and actively participating in TAG meetings twice a year (one in-person/hybrid, one virtual)
- Reviewing documents and providing input on UNICEF's measurement tools and initiatives, including MMAPP, from the perspective of a young person with lived experience
- Contributing thought leadership on youth-focused and youth-led CAMH measurement
- Co-designing a learning experience for young people focused on using mental health data and research in decision-making
- Contributing to guidance frameworks, toolkit materials, and related workstreams
- Proposing additional contributions based on own expertise (e.g. co-authorship, advocacy forums, related UNICEF initiatives)

Ideal candidates may have experience in: advocating for mental health policy at national or international level; participating in or leading youth-led research or data collection on mental health; leading a youth-led organisation focused on mental health or children's rights; using data or research to inform mental health advocacy or programme design.

UNICEF strongly encourages applications from young people based in or with substantial experience in the Global South, including Sub-Saharan Africa, South and South-East Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Middle East and North Africa, and Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

What UNICEF Offers:
- Stipend: USD 1,000 per year (USD 2,000 total over two-year term)
- Equal standing as full TAG members with equal voice in all deliberations
- Travel and accommodation covered for in-person TAG meetings
- Tailored orientation, briefing materials, and preparatory support
- Opportunities to co-author technical outputs and engage in related UNICEF initiatives

Youth advisors serve a two-year term (with possibility of renewal) in their individual capacity. The working language is English.

HOW TO APPLY:
Submit a short statement (maximum one page) describing your interest in the role, relevant experience, and what you would bring to the TAG, plus a brief CV/resume or professional profile (maximum two pages) to ITY-CAMH-Data@unicef.org with subject line: "Youth Advisor Expression of Interest – TAG Child and Adolescent Mental Health Measurement"
