Clean Air Task Force (CATF) is a global nonprofit organization working to safeguard against the worst impacts of climate change by catalyzing the rapid development and deployment of low-carbon energy and other climate-protecting technologies. With more than 25 years of internationally recognized expertise on climate policy, CATF is a pragmatic, non-ideological advocacy group. CATF is seeking a Senior Director, Europe, reporting to the Managing Director, to drive strategic growth and impact across the region. The Senior Director, Europe plays a pivotal role in providing vision, developing strategic and operational plans, and ensuring initiatives are driven by focused, impactful action. Responsibilities include: setting the vision and leading development of CATF's pan-European strategy aligned with global goals; leading the region's fundraising strategy and cultivating key donor relationships; serving as the key regional representative and advocating for regional priorities; leading and empowering a high-performing team of policy experts; overseeing collaboration with government, industry, and civil society to advance pragmatic climate solutions; and representing CATF at the highest levels with governments, industry leaders, funders, and media. Key areas cover strategic leadership, thought leadership, policy influence, organizational development and growth, and resource/budget management. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of progressive senior management or leadership experience, deep knowledge of European energy and climate policy and private sector dynamics, a proven track record engaging high-level external stakeholders, and 6+ years directly leading cross-cultural, geographically dispersed teams. Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are a plus. This is a full-time, remote position, flexible within Europe, with frequent travel required across Europe, the U.S., and globally.
