Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers across nine countries in Africa to make their farms more productive, providing farm supplies, tree seedlings, credit, agronomic training, and other agricultural services. The Senior Program Associate (Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning) will independently manage the full MEL country program in the DRC, driving data-backed strategies to achieve more impact per farmer. You will design rigorous evaluation studies, spearhead advanced statistical analysis in Stata or R, and lead a dedicated departmental team to translate data into actionable organizational decisions. Over time, the role offers a pathway to shaping the broader, long-term impact strategy for a rapidly scaling organization. Responsibilities include: engaging with in-country leadership on MEL priorities and contributing to Impact Division strategy; setting departmental objectives and key results; conceptualizing impact pathways and drafting the Theory of Change; developing study designs, evaluation strategies, sample sizes, and questionnaires; cleaning and analyzing data in Stata/R (summary statistics, regressions, distribution analysis, PSM, PCA); producing final survey reports and presentations with actionable recommendations; and project and budget management including MEL budget development. Qualifications: ability to independently conduct highly complex inferential-statistics analyses in Excel and Stata and/or R; independently clean data; advise on evaluation design; program surveys into CommCare; manage a team by setting goals and reviewing performance; communicate complex topics simply; upper-intermediate French and English.
