BirdLife International, the world's largest nature conservation Partnership, is looking for a Pacific Development Manager on a fixed-term contract (1 year with possibility of extension) to work as part of the Pacific team, working closely with BirdLife's global Development and Partnership teams to support fundraising, donor engagement, partnership coordination and regional communications across the Pacific. The role secures and coordinates funding opportunities and strengthens donor, partner and stakeholder engagement across the Pacific region, and also supports fundraising development in the Asia region. Responsibilities: develop high-quality funding proposals, concept notes and budgets for Pacific conservation programmes; identify new funding opportunities and manage donor relationships from engagement and contracting through to stewardship and reporting; maintain and strengthen the Pacific fundraising pipeline; oversee sub-grants to partners ensuring coordination, compliance and follow-up; produce compelling donor communications including reports, presentations and impact stories; manage fundraising systems and internal processes including procurement and donor compliance; build and maintain relationships with BirdLife Partners across the Pacific; strengthen Partner capacity in fundraising, reporting, communications and project delivery; coordinate meetings, workshops and engagement activities. Requirements: proven experience securing institutional funding (ideally MFAT, DFAT, EU, USAID, trusts, foundations or corporate partners); strong proposal development, budgeting, donor management and relationship-building skills; highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication, strong financial literacy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across remote teams; good understanding of conservation and development in the Pacific (Asia knowledge an advantage); relevant university qualification desirable; proficiency in Microsoft Office and French language skills desirable. Location: Fiji or Australia. Full-time. Salary: 100,000 AUD if located in Australia, 75,000 FJD if located in Fiji.
