The Simon Institute for Longterm Governance (SI) is a Geneva-based think tank working at the intersection of frontier AI governance and international diplomacy. SI analyzes trends and ecosystems, convenes experts, advises decision-makers, and builds bridges between governments, companies, the multilateral system, and frontier tech experts. This is a delivery-focused, team-oriented role supporting the colleagues who design and run SI's events, including the incoming Convenings Lead. Concretely, you will: deliver events end to end (book and liaise with venues; send invitations; coordinate with speakers and participants; arrange travel and accommodation; handle on-the-ground logistics such as A/V, catering, name cards, recordings, translation; and secure, brief, and manage external surge support); own trips and scheduling (book flights and accommodation, liaise with conference organisers and interlocutors, confirm meeting details, and maintain the master trip schedule); build relationships and institutional memory with venues, suppliers, and partner organisations; and coordinate with discretion around sensitive information. Over the next 6–12 months this includes supporting recurrent overseas trips, roundtables, side events, and conference contributions. Essential: demonstrated experience organising events and travel; reliability; judgment and discretion in high-stakes, sensitive settings; fluent English and clear writing; strong team play; adaptability across time zones and cultures with willingness to travel about 2 weeks per quarter; mission alignment on transformative AI going well; and being impact-driven. Bonus: interest in AI governance, international affairs, or US–China geopolitics; project management experience; being Geneva-based with familiarity with local venues and suppliers; and French and/or Mandarin. Full-time, start as soon as possible. Location is Geneva HQ with remote possible within CET +/- 3h. Competitive salary of CHF 83,000–137,000 (an equivalent remote package is available), 7 weeks of annual leave, generous parental leave, professional development budget, and flexible home-office arrangements.

We are hiring for several related roles — feel free to indicate any other SI openings that could fit you. Process: 15–25 minute screening call with hiring partner Impact Ops; a ~3 hour work test with presentation; interview with your prospective manager; a 1-day in-person work trial in Geneva; and 2–3 references. SI covers reasonable costs for the work test and work trial.
