Conservation International protects nature for the benefit of humanity through science, policy, fieldwork, and finance, with offices in 30 countries and projects in more than 100 countries. As an IT/Help Desk Coordinator based in Arlington, VA, you'll be the front line of technical support for staff worldwide, providing first- and second-tier support that keeps end users productive. You'll deliver hands-on PC and Mac support, resolve incidents and service requests, participate in the user lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, and build end-user capability through training, documentation, and a well-maintained knowledge base.
Responsibilities: Serve as first point of contact for IT help requests via ticket, email, or chat; diagnose and fix hardware, software, account, and connectivity issues on Windows and Mac devices; support Microsoft 365 (mail flow, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive); provide identity support through Microsoft Entra ID and endpoint security support; support local office network issues (wired, wireless, VPN, printers, conference room equipment); configure, deploy, and maintain endpoints using the organization's MDM platform; image and deploy laptops for new hires; maintain the regional asset register; provision new-hire devices and deliver IT orientation; offboard users per the global runbook; log incidents and maintain runbooks and the knowledge base.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience; 2+ years of Tier 1 and Tier 2 support experience on Windows and macOS; experience with Microsoft Admin Center and an enterprise ticketing system; proficiency troubleshooting Windows 11 and current macOS; working knowledge of Microsoft 365; understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi); working proficiency in English. Preferred: MDM administration, ITIL Foundation, MS-900, CompTIA A+/Network+, PowerShell or Bash scripting, and commitment to environmental conservation. Salary Range: $60,000 - $72,500 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Working conditions: 35-hour work week, on-site at the Arlington, VA office.
