Together for Girls works around the world and combines state-of-the-art data with powerful advocacy to end violence against children and adolescents, especially sexual violence. Grounded in 19 years of data from the Violence Against Children and Youth Surveys (VACS), TfG drives coordinated action through three initiatives: the Safe Futures Solutions Hub, the Brave Movement, and the Out of the Shadows Index.
Position Overview: The Advocacy & Membership Officer supports the coordination of survivor- and member-centered advocacy engagement across Brave's global movement. Reporting to the Deputy Director, Campaigns & Advocacy and working closely with the Movement Building team, this role helps ensure members are effectively prepared, supported, and connected to advocacy opportunities aligned with Brave's strategic priorities. It serves as a key coordination point between advocacy and membership functions, supporting engagement planning, logistics, communications, and follow-through for advocacy moments ranging from global launches and ministerial meetings to bilateral government engagements and campaign activations. Note: this position is contingent upon successful receipt of grant funding.
Responsibilities include coordinating Brave member and survivor participation in advocacy opportunities; supporting development of advocacy materials; ensuring members are prepared, briefed, and supported; contributing to tracking systems for member engagement; ensuring timely follow-up; supporting donor reporting and MEL; and coordinating safeguarding preparation.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in advocacy coordination, movement-building, membership engagement, campaigns, or nonprofit program coordination; strong organizational and coordination skills; excellent communication and relationship-management skills; experience working with survivor-led, youth-led, or community-based movements preferred; commitment to survivor-centered and trauma-informed approaches; fluency in English required, with Spanish and/or French desired.
Location & Ways of Working: Full-time position based in the United Kingdom (Remote), requiring travel up to 25%. Team members are expected to be available during core working hours of 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
