• An exciting opening has arisen in our LATAM team for an enthusiastic, committed, and highly autonomous Emergency Response Manager.
• We are looking for someone with extensive experience in the following areas:
• Full-Cycle Project Management: Owning end-to-end management independently, driving decision-making autonomously without needing constant oversight.
• DEC & Large Grant Oversight: Managing complex multi-stakeholder timelines where meeting strict donor reporting deadlines is non-negotiable.
• Partner Accompaniment & Compliance: Assertively driving partner compliance, leading organizational capacity assessments, and maintaining healthy relationships with local church and faith-based partners.
• Financial Oversight & Budgeting: Developing and monitoring overall response budgets in close coordination with regional finance staff.
• Response Strategy & Communications: Leading response strategies, capturing field learning/evaluations, and coordinating media and comms needs.
• Tearfund needs to ensure the successful coordination and delivery of our humanitarian response. We urgently need someone who can handle competing priorities effectively and maintain strict deadline discipline despite high operational pressures.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing DEC and Appeal-funded projects, line managing response staff, leading partner compliance, and representing Tearfund at DEC and Integral Alliance coordination networks.

• You will also be able to foster strong collaboration across global teams, regional advisors, and external networks. You will be accustomed to managing complex timelines, prioritizing tasks seamlessly, and maintaining high attention to detail.

• We would expect applicants to hold a degree in International Development, Social Sciences, Humanitarian Action, or a related field. All posts involve potential contact with children and vulnerable adults; therefore, the recruitment process will include safeguarding checks, a clean Police/DBS check, and international watchlist screening.
• Please note: This is a 1 year fixed term contract. This role is based in Colombia, but requires regular travel across the region's countries as a core requirement of the position.
