About the Role
As part of Te Ao, this role supports the Tuvalu Office of the Auditor General (OAG) to deliver key reform initiatives under the Government’s Public Financial Management (PFM) Roadmap. The position will provide strategic, operational, and capacity-building support to strengthen the OAG, including establishing a new Compliance Audit Unit to enhance accountability, transparency, and good governance across government entities, donor-funded projects, and state-owned corporations.
Working closely with OAG leadership, the role will also lead a comprehensive review of the organisation’s structure, staffing levels, and institutional capacity to ensure alignment with its legislative mandate and evolving functions across financial, compliance, performance audits, and inquiries. This includes developing a fit-for-purpose organisational model suited to a small Pacific audit institution and delivering a practical roadmap to implement reforms that strengthen the OAG’s financial, administrative, and operational independence.
