Sun Community Health (“SCH”) is a non-profit, non-political and non-sectarian organization. It is a local nongovernmental organization in Myanmar and is established in particular to advance socially beneficial purposes in Myanmar by promoting and providing information, services and products related to the prevention, promotion, curation and rehabilitation of the major health services including but not limited to HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, maternal and child health, reproductive health and non-communicable diseases with the aim of furthering good health, prosperity and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness. This also includes stateof-art training programs, quality assurance programs, and a robust supply chain and logistics system and health financing mechanisms. The Organization may also provide non-health related ancillary services that ensure and improve the well-being of its clientele.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Officer (SBCC) supports the design and implementation of Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) activities through content creation, product development, and operational coordination. Under the supervision of the Senior Officer – SBCC, this role focuses on producing engaging online and offline communication materials, supporting demand-generation campaigns, and ensuring the timely development, procurement, and distribution of SBCC products. The position plays a key role in translating SBCC strategies into high-quality, user-friendly communication outputs that are culturally appropriate, gender-sensitive, and aligned with Sun Community Health’s health programs, branding guidelines, and donor requirements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of Officer (Social and Behavior Change Communication) include:

1. Digital Content Creation and Campaign Support :
• Develop engaging digital content for target audiences in various formats, including Facebook posts, captions, short articles, video scripts, quizzes, and interactive content.
• Develop and maintain a content calendar for SCH program social media pages in coordination with the Senior Officer (SBCC) and program teams.
• Support the planning and execution of online and offline demand-generation campaigns for SCH health programs and social enterprise initiatives.
• Collaborate with external partners such as social media agencies, video production teams, and freelancers to develop campaign content.
• Respond to health-related inquiries, comments, and messages on SCH’s program social media platforms in a timely, respectful, and user-friendly manner.
• Coordinate with field operations teams to guide social media users to the nearest available SCH service delivery points, as appropriate.

2. Field Documentation, Storytelling, and Content Development :
• Conduct field visits and program-related travel to collect human-interest stories, photos, and video content in support of SBCC and health promotion activities.
• Interview healthcare providers, community volunteers, and beneficiaries to document program outcomes, best practices, and impact stories in line with SCH’s communication objectives.
• Support the development of case studies, success stories, and short videos for internal reporting, donor communications, and public awareness purposes, ensuring accuracy, ethical standards, and informed consent.

3. SBCC Product Development :
• Work closely with the Graphic Designer to translate approved communication concepts into physical SBCC materials, including posters, brochures, flip charts, job aids, training kits, and other branded items.
• Support prototype review, pre-testing, and field feedback collection to ensure products are relevant, understandable, and effective for target audiences.
• Prepare and update product specifications (size, quantity, content, language, design requirements) in coordination with the graphic designer, vendors, and program management unit.
• Maintain organized records of final designs, approvals, and production files in coordination with the Graphic Designer for internal reference and donor compliance.

4. Procurement, Supply Chain, and Distribution Coordination of SBCC Materials :
• Assist the Senior Officer (SBCC) in planning and managing procurement requests and procurement plans for SBCC materials and related communication items, in line with program requirements.
• Support quality assurance checks of delivered SBCC materials, as required, to ensure compliance with approved specifications and SCH quality standards.
• Support coordination of SBCC material flow between the central warehouse, regional/field offices, and program teams to ensure timely and accurate distribution.
• Assist in the preparation and implementation of SBCC material distribution plans in collaboration with program and field operations teams.
• Support brief orientations or guidance sessions for field teams and providers on the use of SBCC materials and key messages.

5. Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation :
• Support documentation of SBCC activities, campaign outputs, and product development processes.
• Coordinate with MEL/Program teams to track SBCC indicators such as reach, engagement, referrals, and campaign outputs, and support reporting.
• Ensure all communication products comply with SCH branding, donor visibility, and documentation requirements.
• Monitor community feedback and misinformation trends and support the development of FAQ content to address key concerns.

Key Competencies and Skills Technical Skills :
• Strong content writing skills in Myanmar language; English writing skills are an asset.
• Knowledge of SBCC principles, health communication, or public health promotion.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital content creation tools.
• Experience supporting IEC/SBCC material development and production processes.
• Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain coordination in NGO settings.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good communication and coordination skills with internal teams and external agencies/suppliers.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
• Cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse communities and clients.

Qualifications and Experience :
• University degree required (medical or public health background preferred)
• At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in digital media content creation is preferred.
• Experience with NGO or donor-funded health projects is desirable.
• Willingness to travel to field locations as required.
