About SYCAC SYCAC is a non-profit, non-governmental civil society organization established in Turkey in 2012. It aims to increase civic spaces to play an active role in peace processes and early recovery of communities by empowering, protecting, and building community capacities, as well as enhancing the leadership role of women and marginalized groups, to achieve communities that embrace the principle of democracy and human rights.

Job purpose SYCAC is seeking a dedicated Field Officer to support the field-level implementation of project activities across its operational areas in Türkiye. The Field Officer will work directly with beneficiaries, community members, local stakeholders, and project team members to ensure that activities are implemented smoothly, beneficiaries receive clear information, and required follow-up actions are completed on time. The role also includes supporting business formalization and registration activities by following up with selected businesses, collecting required documents, and liaising with relevant institutions and service providers. In addition to performing any other tasks within his/her competence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct field outreach and community engagement activities to inform potential beneficiaries about project activities, eligibility criteria, and application processes.
• Support the registration, verification, and follow-up of applicants and beneficiaries in line with project procedures.
• Communicate with beneficiaries regularly to provide clear information on project steps, required documents, timelines, and follow-up requirements.
• Support field-level implementation of project activities, including information sessions, training activities, counselling sessions, grant distributions, monitoring visits, and beneficiary follow-up.
• Support activities related to business registration, including follow-up with selected business owners, collection of required documents, and coordination of administrative steps.
• Liaise with relevant municipalities, chambers, legal and accounting service providers, and other stakeholders involved in project implementation.
• Accompany beneficiaries to relevant offices or service providers when needed, especially for business registration, documentation, or administrative follow-up.
• Collect, review, and organize beneficiary documents, invoices, receipts, attendance sheets, forms, and other supporting documents required for project files.
• Maintain accurate beneficiary records, trackers, and field documentation, ensuring that all information is complete, updated, and stored in line with SYCAC procedures.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor beneficiary progress, identify challenges, and report any delays, risks, or documentation gaps to the line manager.
• Support coordination with the MEAL team for data collection, beneficiary feedback, surveys, monitoring visits, and activity reporting.
• Provide regular field updates to the line manager on activities, pending cases, challenges, and required follow-up actions.
• Support accountability and safeguarding standards by communicating respectfully with beneficiaries and referring any sensitive concerns through the appropriate internal channels.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling beneficiary information, personal documents, financial documents, and project records.
• Commitment to the Code of Conduct, child protection, and prevention of sexual exploitation and harassment.
• Commitment to executing any other related tasks in coordination with the direct manager.

Required Qualifications:
• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Development Studies, Public Administration, Economics, Law, or any related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in field implementation, community engagement, beneficiary follow-up, project support, livelihoods, business support, or similar roles.
• Previous experience with NGOs, civil society organizations, or humanitarian and development projects.
• Experience in business registration, municipal procedures, chamber registration, tax-related documentation, or administrative follow-up.
• Experience working with refugees, host community members, entrepreneurs, or business owners.
• Good understanding of field implementation, beneficiary communication, documentation, and follow-up processes.
• Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good command of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Native Turkish is required; working knowledge of Arabic and/or English is preferred.
• Legal right to work in Türkiye is required.
