Acted South Sudan
Acted has operated in South Sudan since 2007 and currently implements multi-sector programmes across Western Bahr el Ghazal, Northern Bahr el Ghazal, Upper Nile, and the Greater Equatoria region. Acted's portfolio balances life-saving humanitarian response with resilience and recovery programming, aligned with the Humanitarian–Development–Peace (HDP) nexus.

Key pillars include:
* Emergency response: WASH, shelter, and protection services in displacement-affected and return areas.
* Camp coordination & border monitoring linked to regional displacement dynamics.
* Early recovery & resilience: climate-smart agriculture, Farmer Field Schools, natural resource management, and community-based savings mechanisms.
* Food security & livelihoods through market-oriented and climate-adaptive approaches.
* Infrastructure & service rehabilitation to strengthen local systems.
* Community-led governance & social cohesion as cross-cutting approaches.

Through its THRIVE framework, Acted strengthens household and community resilience by linking immediate needs with long-term adaptive capacity, while ensuring strong community participation and local capacity building.

You will be in charge of
The Project Development Manager (PDM) positions Acted with donors and leads the development of project proposals in line with Acted's global and in-country programme strategy, and ensures proper grant management. The PDM ensures smooth internal communication and coordination with relevant departments, and contributes to Acted external communication strategy.

Expected skills and qualifications
* Master Level education in a relevant field such as International Relations, Development or Political Science
* Previous experience in the humanitarian field, proposals development, grants management and donor relations are required
* Knowledge of the humanitarian aid system and ability to understand the donors systems
* External representation skills
* Ability to coordinate and manage a team
* Teamwork and team building skills, capacity building skills
* Ability to work independently and creatively in a multicultural context
* Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical skills
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure
* Previous field experience is required
