The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) is a global federation of Member Associations (MAs) and Collaborative Partners working across more than 150 countries to deliver sexual and reproductive health services, advance rights, and advocate for policy change.

IPPF is issuing a Request for Proposals for ongoing development and technical support services for its OpenEMR platform. IPPF has run a customized version of OpenEMR across Member Association clinics for close to 20 years. The system supports high-quality client care, strengthens data use, and improves the flow of health information within MAs. IPPF wants to keep maintaining, enhancing, and expanding the platform's functionality. This includes ensuring system stability, supporting MA implementations, and enabling ongoing innovation.

The aim is to ensure the platform remains robust, scalable, and responsive to the needs of Member Associations.

Contract terms: a time and materials contract starting 1 January 2027. IPPF estimates 300-350 hours of support per year, with an anticipated initial duration of two years, subject to performance and organizational needs.

The selected developers will deliver the services set out in the Scope of Work, Deliverables and Timeline section of the full RFP.
