Tearfund is a faith-based international NGO. We are looking for a skilled and proactive People Services Manager to lead and support the delivery of high-quality people operations across our global programmes. This is a key leadership role within the People & Culture team, focusing on operational excellence in HR systems, recruitment, contracts, onboarding, and compliance. You will provide management and decision-making for major active transformation projects, including the live delivery of a new global HRIS and Payroll system, and co-manage an initiative to align and optimise end-to-end recruitment, talent acquisition and retention practices.

About you: an experienced HR professional with strong knowledge of HR systems and operational HR practices; experience working in international contexts, preferably within the INGO or humanitarian sectors; proven ability to manage cross-cultural teams and complex workflows; and a collaborative approach with excellent communication skills.

You will manage a small UK-based team and collaborate with HR colleagues and leaders around the world to provide a consistent, service-driven people experience.

Hybrid working: the role is eligible for hybrid working, from the Teddington Tearfund office and from home by agreement with the line manager.

Contract: 1 year fixed-term maternity cover, 31.5 hours per week. Full-time salary £51,354 per annum; part-time salary £46,218.60 per annum.
