About BURN: BURN is Africa's leading clean cooking company, designing, manufacturing, and distributing fuel-efficient biomass, LPG, and electric cooking appliances from its headquarters in Kenya. Since 2011, BURN has distributed over 6 million appliances across 12 African countries, including its award-winning IoT-enabled electric cooking products, saving millions of tonnes of wood and improving the lives of over 30 million people.

Role: The Project Management Intern will support the delivery of IT Operations and IT projects across BURN, working with guidance from the Project Manager. They will help coordinate onboarding and offboarding, keep the asset register up to date, follow up on support tickets, and track project tasks and timelines. This role offers hands-on exposure to IT operations and project management in a fast-growing, multi-site organisation.

- Update and maintain the IT asset register, accurately recording device issuance, returns, and retirements.
- Monitor the helpdesk queue, follow up on open tickets, and flag overdue or recurring issues to the Project Manager.
- Assist with office and site visits to set up devices and resolve basic user IT issues.
- Track project tasks, timelines, and actions, and keep project trackers and documentation up to date.
- Schedule meetings, take minutes, and follow up on agreed actions with team members and stakeholders.
- Help collect vendor quotes, renewal dates, and spend data for IT Ops budget tracking.
- Prepare weekly reports on IT Ops metrics such as ticket volumes, onboarding completions, and asset accuracy.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- 0–1 year of experience in IT support, administration, or project coordination, including internships or industrial attachments.
- Basic understanding of IT concepts such as user accounts, devices, and networks.
- Strong interest in project management and IT operations, and a willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and follow up on tasks proactively.
- Exposure to ticketing or project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana).
