IMPACT Initiatives is a humanitarian NGO based in Geneva, managing the REACH, PANDA and AGORA initiatives. In West and Central Africa, IMPACT operates a Multi-Country Office (MCO) in Dakar, Senegal, supervising missions in Mali, Niger, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Benin, Côte d'Ivoire, Mauritania, CAR, Nigeria, Chad and DRC, with some support to Haiti.
The Regional Projects and Partnerships Support Manager (RPPSM) will oversee project development and grant management for IMPACT's missions in West and Central Africa. Reporting to the HQ PPS Manager and working with the Dakar-based Multi-Country Representative, Country Representatives and the Regional Coordinator, the post holder will manage the Dakar PPS team, including a pooled PPS Assistant and a Haiti-dedicated PPS Officer, and provide functional management of country PPS staff.
Key responsibilities:
- Context analysis: support analysis of socio-economic situations, donor and funding trends, needs and gaps in the region, and stakeholder mapping.
- Strategy and fundraising: contribute to country and regional programme strategies, identify funding opportunities and donors, diversify the donor portfolio, map potential partners, and maintain a regional funding tracker.
- External relations: coordinate with Acted and hosting partners, maintain relationships with donors, NGOs, UN agencies and consortia, and represent IMPACT in regional coordination forums.
- Grant management: oversee proposal development (concept notes, logframes, budgets), validate proposals, review and negotiate contracts and amendments, and keep the Ninox project database up to date.
- Implementation and reporting: ensure kick-off meetings, contractual compliance, quality narrative and M&E reports, and coherence between narrative and financial reporting.
- Partnerships: support due diligence, vetting and formalisation of subgrant agreements with implementing and hosting partners.
- Monitoring and evaluation: ensure M&E frameworks, policies and learning are applied across projects.
- Management: direct management of pooled PPS staff, including recruitment, training, appraisals and career management.
Contract: 12 months, based in Dakar with travel across West and Central Africa. Starting date: 01/02/2027.
