The HALO Trust is the leading global NGO addressing the impact and drivers of conflict in 30 countries and territories, with over 8,000 staff, clearing landmines and explosive remnants of war and securing weapons and ammunition. It is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager (permanent, full time, circa £55k per annum depending on experience; UK hybrid with at least one day per week in HALO's London office), reporting to the Head of HR Operations and managing a Recruitment Officer.
Job purpose: Develop and deliver an effective, inclusive and responsive talent acquisition service across HALO globally, working with HR colleagues, programme and departmental leaders and hiring managers to anticipate workforce requirements, attract high-quality and diverse candidates, and deliver fair, robust and timely recruitment and selection. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on recruitment delivery, strengthening sourcing capability, employer brand, candidate experience, recruitment data and technology, and also manages visa sponsorship responsibilities and HALO's International Placements Policy and process.
Key responsibilities:
- Talent acquisition strategy and planning aligned with organisational and workforce priorities
- End-to-end recruitment delivery, from approved requisition through offer and appointment
- Proactive sourcing and talent pipelines for priority and hard-to-fill roles
- Employer brand and candidate experience
- Inclusive, fair and safe recruitment, embedding EDI and safeguarding
- Recruitment governance, policy and compliance
- Recruitment systems, data and reporting
- Stakeholder partnership and training for hiring managers
- Supplier and budget management of agencies and advertising providers
- Visa sponsorship and international placements
- Leadership and management of the recruitment team
Requirements: Substantial end-to-end recruitment experience (in-house, agency or blended); experience developing sourcing strategies and advising senior stakeholders; experience managing multiple campaigns, systems, data and suppliers; experience managing visa sponsorship, immigration-related recruitment or international placements; experience supervising or developing others; strong understanding of inclusive and safer recruitment; working knowledge of sponsor compliance; excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Desirable: humanitarian, development or not-for-profit experience; experience recruiting international, field-based or specialist roles; relevant HR/recruitment qualification.
