Vacancy number VA26P173V01. Number of vacancies: 3. Organizational unit: Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Grade: LP2. Duration: 12 months (SSA contract). Compensation: monthly gross salary of 3,089.00 EUR, plus health and accident insurance and six weeks' annual leave.

The Project Officer implements activities of the EU-funded initiative Partnerships for Return Preparedness and Reintegration in Ukraine (PREPARE-UA). ICMPD implements the initiative in close cooperation and coordination with the EU Member States and Schengen Associated Countries. PREPARE-UA aims to establish a coordinated operational model. The model connects information and counselling services in participating Member States and Schengen Associated Countries with employment opportunities, municipal support systems and reintegration services in Ukraine. The initiative is based on the principles of voluntariness, informed choice and dignity. It recognises that return preparedness must begin well before any eventual transition out of temporary protection.

The Project Officer works under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager. The role involves close coordination with other team members and the project Secretariat, located in the Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia in Vienna, Austria.

Requirements: understanding of the current displacement context, and of the recovery, reconstruction and reintegration of displaced people. Proficiency in English and Ukrainian (verbal and written) is required. The position is based in Lviv, Ukraine. Frequent travel to other regions of Ukraine will be required, depending on the security situation.
