The Senior Project Manager coordinates implementation of the EU-funded initiative Partnerships for Return Preparedness and Reintegration in Ukraine (PREPARE-UA), implemented by ICMPD in close cooperation and coordination with EU Member States and Schengen Associated Countries.

The PREPARE-UA project aims to establish a coordinated operational model that connects information and counselling services in participating Member States and Schengen Associated Countries with employment opportunities, municipal support systems and reintegration services in Ukraine. The initiative is based on the principles of voluntariness, informed choice and dignity, while recognising that return preparedness must begin well before any eventual transition out of temporary protection.

The Senior Project Manager leads the Ukraine operational team and the ICMPD office in Lviv. They work under the overall supervision of the Project Coordinator, based in the ICMPD Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia in Vienna, and work closely with the project Secretariat.

Requirements: experience of working in Ukraine and an understanding of the current displacement context, recovery, reconstruction and reintegration of displaced people are required. Proficiency in English (verbal and written) is required; proficiency in Ukrainian is an asset. The position is being established in Lviv, and frequent travel to other regions of Ukraine will be required, depending on the security situation.

Terms: grade IP4; 12-month assignment (SSA contract); monthly net base salary of 6,206.00 EUR; health and accident insurance and six weeks' annual leave. Organizational unit: Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
