Science and Technology Research Analyst
GFI Europe, a nonprofit think tank working to transform meat production, is seeking a Science and Technology Research Analyst to lead a project updating its 'State of the European alternative protein research ecosystem: funding, publications and patents' report with 2026 data. At least 60% of the role (primarily Dec 2026-June 2027) will involve conducting data retrieval and analysis of grants, publications, and patents on alternative proteins, producing outputs including a webpage, regional deep dives, and reports, and disseminating findings to funders and policymakers across Europe. The remainder of the role supports the Research Funding and Research Community teams. Candidates must have a BSc in a science or engineering field, understanding of plant-based/cultivated/fermentation protein research, strong data analysis skills (Python/R), strong written communication, and networking abilities. This is a full-time, temporary 11-month remote role open to candidates based in the UK, Netherlands, or Germany, starting between 7-14 December 2026. Indicative salary: €45,965-€52,162 gross/year (Netherlands benchmark, adjusted by location).
