The EEA is organising an open competition to establish a reserve list of experts in cloud solutions, within the Digital Department, which leads on technology, data, and Earth observation services supporting the EEA-Eionet Strategy. Reporting to the Head of Unit 'Digital Transformation and Technology Services', the Expert will support cloud infrastructure, hybrid environment operations, security, resilience and digital transformation priorities. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, operating and improving the Agency's cloud and hybrid infrastructure services, focusing on security, resilience, compliance, performance, cost efficiency and alignment with enterprise standards. Tasks span cloud platform engineering (IaC, compute/storage/networking services, high availability), operations and reliability (monitoring, incident resolution, backup/disaster recovery), security and compliance (identity and access management, encryption, vulnerability management), automation and DevOps (CI/CD, scripting), cost optimisation and FinOps, documentation, and IT infrastructure project management. Candidates must have completed university studies of at least three years (or equivalent professional training) plus a minimum of one year of relevant professional experience, be a national of an EEA member country, and have thorough knowledge of one EEA member language plus satisfactory knowledge of another (CEFR B2). Essential experience includes cloud/hybrid infrastructure design and operation, zero trust environments, landing zones, IAM solutions (e.g. Entra ID, Windows ADDS, Azure/AWS landing zones), and IT service management processes; excellent English (C1) required. Advantageous: M365 governance/compliance/security experience and project management certification. The successful candidate will be offered a Contract Agent (FGIV) contract under Article 3a CEOS for an initial four years, renewable, based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
