The Head Nurse – Nursing Services (Aga Khan Hospital, Hyderabad) will be responsible to:
- Manage 24/7 staffing scheduling as per hospital standards to assure quality and safe patient care, and remain available for shift schedules as needed
- Execute quality patient care and ensure physician rounds are timely completed, patients are reviewed and monitored, and treatment regimens are accurately followed
- Regularly meet patients and their families to resolve complaints and issues relating to care
- Collaborate with all support service departments to ensure quality care and meet patient requirements
- Work with multidisciplinary teams on quality projects to improve unit core processes
- Establish unit-based standards, goals, objectives and priorities and monitor against them
- Encourage creativity, initiative and innovation in nursing staff and mentor the nursing workforce for service provision and staff development
Requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited school, preferably a Master's degree in the same field, and a valid license from the Pakistan Nursing Council
- At least four years of relevant experience, of which at least two years at a nursing management level
- Certification in CPR, Safe Medication Administration, Aseptic Techniques, I/V Cannulation, and Paediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines
- Willingness to work shift duties (mornings, evenings and nights)
