Handicap International / Humanité & Inclusion (HI) is an independent and impartial international solidarity organisation working in situations of poverty, exclusion, conflict and disaster, alongside people with disabilities and vulnerable populations. Since 1982 it has run development programmes in more than 60 countries.
Context: Within the Finance Department at HI headquarters in Lyon, you join the Head Office and National Associations (AN) Management Control Service, which supports directorates and national associations in financial, budgetary and analytical steering. The service produces financial reporting, consolidates network data, monitors financial risks and continuously improves management tools and processes. The team has 8 members (7 in Lyon, 1 in Luxembourg) with international interactions (United States, Germany).
Objectives of the role: The Consolidator & Management Controller for the Belgium National Association combines and analyses accounting, financial, budgetary and analytical information from the various entities of the HI network.
- Financial production and reliability: ensure consistency, reconciliation and traceability of data to produce the combined financial statements (CROD, CER) for governance, auditors and stakeholders.
- Management control and steering: monitor budgets, analyse variances and risks for a portfolio of directorates and National Associations, and advise managers in their decision-making.
- Data and systems: oversee the quality of financial data and optimise the use of the department's Business Intelligence tools and Data Warehouse.
Requirements:
- Master's degree (Master 2) in finance, management control or audit.
- Solid command of finance, accounting, management control and consolidation.
- Advanced Excel and a data visualisation tool (ideally Power BI).
- Ability to structure data, formalise management rules, automate reporting, and understand ERP, Data Warehouse and data governance environments.
- Rigour, analytical mindset, pedagogy, active listening and cooperation.
- Fluent French; fluent English (written and spoken) required.
Conditions: Fixed-term contract (CDD, maternity-leave replacement), executive (cadre) status, salary from €30,000 gross per year, hybrid work with a remote-work charter, meal vouchers (60% covered), 50% sustainable transport subsidy, health and provident insurance, and works council benefits.
