Location: Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a Director - Global Program Design & Execution, Housing Finance Systems. This individual will provide strategic leadership for program innovation, learning, and effectiveness across a global portfolio. They will develop programmatic guidance and standards, champion pilot initiatives and targeted interventions, and foster cross-regional collaboration to accelerate organizational learning and impact, working closely with regional and functional leaders to identify emerging opportunities, scale successful approaches, and strengthen team and partner capacity. This position is remotely based within the United Kingdom or Bosnia.
Key Responsibilities: Designs, oversees, and evaluates pilot initiatives and targeted interventions; facilitates cross-regional learning and scaling of promising practices; partners with regional and functional leaders to translate priorities into actionable programs; monitors program performance using data and stakeholder feedback; oversees program budgets and operational planning; identifies and mitigates programmatic risks; ensures alignment with organizational policies and donor requirements; leads key strategic assignments and projects; represents the organization in internal and external forums.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in International Development, Public Policy, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Social Sciences, or related field; 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in program management, strategy development, capacity strengthening and organizational learning in the financial sector; demonstrated experience in multiple emerging markets, particularly with financial institutions and associations on housing finance and financial inclusion; experience designing, implementing, and evaluating multi-country or cross-functional initiatives. Preferred: Master's degree in a related field; experience in climate and MSME finance; experience developing programmatic guidance, frameworks, or toolkits.
