WRI Indonesia seeks a Geospatial Data Analyst (Consultant) for its Food, Land, and Water Program to support the E-STDB smallholder registration platform developed with the Ministry of Agriculture. The role analyzes existing smallholder spatial data (STDB) to assess quality, completeness, and consistency, and designs automation tools for data processing, validation, and reporting within the E-STDB platform.
Key duties (70% system developer work): analyze STDB spatial database (polygon data, attributes, topology), produce diagnostic reports, build spatial data automation tools (validation, processing pipelines, QC workflows), develop the spatial data module, provide technical assistance to government users, and prepare technical documentation. Stakeholder engagement (30%): liaise with national, provincial, and district government agencies on platform use and improvement. Hybrid role based in Jakarta (8 days/month in office); consultancy duration 1 October 2026–31 March 2027 with possible extension, daily-rate based, max 108 working days. Requires bachelor's degree in Geospatial Science, Geography, Geomatics, Geodesy, Computer Science, or related field; minimum 3 years' professional experience in geospatial data analysis and spatial database management; experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS, QGIS, ArcGIS, Google Earth Engine, GDAL/OGR; geospatial programming in Python (GeoPandas, Rasterio/Fiona, Shapely); strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English; and legal authorization to work in Indonesia.
