The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies. The position reports to the Principal Legal Counsel and is responsible for providing legal advice to internal clients (staff from HQ, country offices and management) on administrative, contracting, operational and policy issues while sustaining institutional integrity. Responsibilities include: providing legal advice on administrative, contracting, operational and policy issues; drafting, reviewing and supporting negotiation of institutional agreements with governments and other institutions such as MOUs, project implementation agreements, funding agreements and non-disclosure agreements; drafting, reviewing and negotiating procurement contracts for goods, works and services; advising on the organization's legal instruments including the charter document, Staff Regulations and Staff Rules; supporting development and revision of administrative and operational policies; preparing standard templates for agreements and contracts; providing support on membership, privileges and immunities issues, due diligence assessments, and managing claims and disputes. Requirements: University degree in Law (LLB, JD, LLM, or equivalent); admission to a national bar desirable; minimum 3 to 5 years of professional legal experience in an international organization, international law firm, or in-house legal department of a multinational corporation; excellent command of English; experience in employment law or HR-related legal issues is a plus; experience working in an international organization is a plus. The role is a G8 grade level, International Position Scale, with a minimum annual salary of USD 76,080, plus 15% retirement/long-term savings contribution, 27 days annual leave, and private health insurance with expatriate benefits for eligible candidates. Contract type: Staff, 36-month appointment.
