Eurojust, the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation, is recruiting a Legal Officer (AD 5) on a contract of up to five years, with possibility of renewal. Candidates must have completed university studies of at least 3 years attested by a diploma; no minimum years of professional experience are required beyond the completed degree. Required experience and knowledge includes proven professional experience in comparable tasks to those listed under the key accountabilities, with the Selection Board assessing the range of duties covered, the type and level of work done, and its relevance to the vacancy. Candidates must hold a university degree in law and have knowledge of the latest legal and policy developments relating to the gathering of electronic evidence in the context of criminal investigations and prosecutions. Advantageous criteria include professional experience in digital criminal investigations, including relevant legal frameworks and procedures to obtain electronic evidence; knowledge of public-private cooperation mechanisms, including with service providers, particularly regarding gathering electronic evidence in criminal investigations; knowledge of legal frameworks relating to judicial and law enforcement cooperation in the EU; and work experience gained in a similar multicultural environment, with preference given to work experience gained abroad.
