icddr,b is a Bangladesh-based international health research institute that strives to solve key public health problems through high-quality scientific research and innovation. The Nutrition Research Division conducts clinical, laboratory, and translational research to understand the biological mechanisms underlying malnutrition and to develop and evaluate innovative nutritional interventions for improving child and maternal health and promoting recovery. The Research Investigator will report to the Principal Investigator and will be responsible for coordinating and implementing clinical, field, laboratory, nutritional, and public health research activities, from conceptualization and study planning through implementation, data generation, analysis, and dissemination. Responsibilities include coordinating research activities aligned with project objectives and protocols; generating research ideas and questions on nutrition, health, and malnutrition prevention/management; contributing to protocols, proposals, and SOPs; coordinating field-based activities including participant recruitment, anthropometric measurements, and clinical assessments; coordinating biological and clinical sample collection, processing, and storage; monitoring study progress, data quality, and protocol compliance; analysing and integrating research data and preparing scientific reports; and contributing to manuscripts, grant applications, and training programmes. Required qualifications: Master's degree in Public Health, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or a related field with a good academic record; 5 years of relevant experience in public health or biomedical research; at least one publication as first author in a peer-reviewed journal required. This is a national position open only to Bangladeshi nationals. Location: Mohakhali Campus, Dhaka. Contract is short-term for 9 months with possibility of extension, subject to funding and performance. Salary: Tk. 140,750/- per month (consolidated), inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances, plus festival bonus and other benefits.
