Concern is currently looking for a Telemarketer to join its HQ team as part of the Telemarketing department.
Title: Telemarketer. Location: Concern's office in Dublin 2; the role is in the office full-time. Terms: 12-month Fixed Term Contract / GB2 (EUR 27,342 - EUR 30,380). Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 6 PM, 35 hours per week. The postholder reports to the Telemarketing Manager and Team Leader and works closely with colleagues in the Direct Marketing Executives, Donor Care team, Fundraising Systems Team and wider Concern teams.
The job: This role involves supporting the Public Affairs Department on different projects by contacting donors in relation to cash/regular giving donations and non-financial support.
Key responsibilities: complete Telemarketing campaigns and reach key performance indicators; contact existing donors or prospects by telephone as part of a marketing campaign; ensure all calls made are in line with the procedures of Concern; achieve productivity and ensure key performance indicators are met; ensure accurate and complete information is captured in CRM systems; attend campaign briefing and training and participate actively within the training environment; maintain a professional and courteous manner when interacting with donors; undertake specific tasks and projects as directed by the Telemarketing Project Manager; and additional duties as and when required.
Essential requirements: English fluency; some fundraising experience; minimum 6-12 months telesales and customer service experience, preferably in a contact centre or telesales role; previous experience of working to and exceeding targets; excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a team; excellent planning and organisational skills and a desire to develop in the role by engaging in training and accepting feedback and supervision from management; strong negotiation and objection handling skills; good IT skills with knowledge of MS Office, in-house databases and the Internet, and the ability to analyse information; a friendly and professional telephone manner. Desirable: interest or experience in international development.
