The Systems & Salesforce Specialist sits in the Digital Team, reporting to the Digital Delivery Lead, with a matrix (technical) line report of the Systems and Salesforce Officer. Salary: £39,425 - £40,463. Hours: 35 per week. Contract: Permanent. Grade 3B.

Key accountabilities: Act as system owner and technical lead for Start Network's Salesforce platform; design and maintain Salesforce access and security controls; implement data governance and data quality standards with the Data Manager; deliver scalable automation (flows, validation rules, custom objects); design and optimise integrations between Salesforce and other systems (e.g. FormAssembly, reporting and automation tools); own and maintain the Salesforce data model. Provide oversight of Microsoft 365 administration, licensing and configuration, define access and security principles, and guide effective use of Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
Own the organisation's digital systems landscape and system architecture, ensuring alignment across systems (FormAssembly, Power BI, M365). Provide escalation-level support and technical guidance, oversee resolution of complex issues, and build capability through training. Lead technical enablement of reporting across Salesforce and connected platforms, supporting programme, membership and assurance teams and donor reporting requirements including IATI. Lead design and delivery of Salesforce and system enhancements, liaising with external developers/consultants. Uphold data protection standards including GDPR compliance and support audits, risk assessments and internal reviews.
Essential: proven strong experience as a Salesforce Administrator or specialist configuring and maintaining a complex Salesforce environment; strong working knowledge of Salesforce platforms (Nonprofit Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Agentforce or equivalent automation/AI features); demonstrated experience designing and implementing automation, custom configurations and integrations; ability to translate organisational and programme needs into effective system and data solutions.
Desirable: experience in NGOs, membership organisations or humanitarian contexts; familiarity with grant management or partner due diligence systems; API integrations and third-party apps (FormAssembly, Mailchimp); project management experience (Agile, Scrum).
