The Hospital Lead provides overall leadership, coordination, and oversight of hospital (Maternal & Child Hospital) operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and people-centred care in line with national and international standards, humanitarian principles, and Save the Children's Quality Framework. The role plays a critical part in the phased establishment and transition of the facility from PHCC to Maternal and Child Specialized Hospital including CEmONC, ensuring readiness across staffing, infrastructure, supplies, and systems prior to full-scale service delivery. The Hospital Lead ensures that all services are delivered in alignment with the Hospital Charter, promoting respect, dignity, clear communication, and informed consent across all departments. The role is accountable for embedding these principles into daily practice from the outset. The position integrates clinical, operational, and support services to ensure care is effective, equitable, timely, integrated, and efficient, while maintaining strong governance, accountability, and continuous improvement systems. The Hospital Lead ensures the continuity, relevance, and system integration of services within the broader humanitarian and health system context.

In the initial phase, the role places strong emphasis on hospital setup, system strengthening, and readiness for Maternal and Child Specialized Hospital including CEmONC services. As the facility becomes fully operational, focus progressively shifts toward service optimization, quality improvement, and sustained delivery. In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 7 years' experience in managing health programs/projects in development or emergency context including a minimum of 2 years of experience as hospital lead or similar role.
- Updated knowledge of maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) issues and national programs/strategies.
- Sound knowledge of the Bangladesh health system and humanitarian context.
- Strong leadership and decision-making in complex environments.
- Ability to balance setup, operations, and quality of care simultaneously.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Financial and resource management capacity.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must have an MBBS degree; preference for candidates with additional qualifications such as an MPhil, or an MBA in Hospital Administration & Hospital Management.

Contract: Permanent, Full-time.
