IDA is an independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters, and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender, or political affiliation. The Health Department is recruiting ICU Technicians for hospitals in the Aleppo countryside (Azaz - Dr. Mohammad Waseem Maaz Hospital; Afrin - Al-Mahaba Hospital).

Adult ICU Technician: provide nursing care to patients in the intensive care unit; monitor and document vital signs and medical devices; carry out nursing procedures and administer medication as directed by the physician; handle emergency cases and participate in resuscitation when required; apply infection-control and patient-safety procedures.

Paediatric ICU Technician: provide care to children in the intensive care unit; monitor vital signs, medical devices and the child's condition; administer medication and treatments as directed by the physician; handle emergencies and participate in resuscitation; apply infection-control and patient-safety procedures.

Anaesthesia and Critical Care Technician: prepare anaesthesia and critical-care equipment and supplies and ensure readiness; assist the anaesthetist during anaesthesia procedures and operations; monitor vital signs and patient condition during and after anaesthesia; monitor ventilators and monitoring devices; provide care to patients in critical-care units; perform nursing and technical procedures per physician direction; assist in emergency handling and resuscitation; administer medication and fluids within approved authorisations; apply infection-control and patient-safety procedures and maintain equipment readiness; document care provided and hand over cases between shifts.

Required qualifications: academic degree in nursing (university or institute) or anaesthesia technician; minimum three years' experience as an anaesthesia/intensive-care technician in hospitals; advanced training in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred; computer skills (Microsoft Office).
