CONTEXT:
Rehabilitation, our original profession.
For over forty years, HI has worked alongside people with disabilities and vulnerable populations, taking action and speaking out to meet their essential needs, improve their living conditions, and promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights. Physical and functional rehabilitation has been, and continues to be, at the heart of this mission.

The Technical Directorate for Rehabilitation provides technical support and a framework for HI's programs worldwide, but also leads research and innovation projects as well as representing HI externally.
Within this department, the team comprises 12 staff members responsible for embodying the various facets of this mandate for Humanity & Inclusion's programs on the theme of rehabilitation in humanitarian and development contexts. The department therefore relies on a team of expert professionals in three key sectors/professions to implement its rehabilitation projects: occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and orthotists/prosthetists.

This expertise in technical orthopedics, adhering to international standards and capable of adapting them to humanitarian settings, remains a rare skill. The required competencies encompass clinical practice, conventional and digital technologies, production and supply chains, as well as the orthopedic industry, product and commercial development, materials knowledge, and circular and sustainable economic practices.

The premises are located at Luxembourg train station and are easily accessible by public transport (bus, train, tram).
