The Manager, Executive Support, Philanthropic Partnerships & Influence (PPI) provides high-level, proactive operational support for the Vice President of PPI. The role facilitates fluid relationship management and communications with external and internal stakeholders. Through a nuanced understanding of the VP's priorities and work orientations, the Manager enables strategic leadership and impactful philanthropic partnerships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Executive Operations and Communications (30%): Proactively manage the VP's calendar; triage inbox, draft and follow-up on correspondence; maintain Salesforce records; prepare briefing documents; plan and run meeting logistics; capture decisions and next steps.
Strategic Project Management (30%): Manage VP project engagement and timelines; schedule coordination sessions; maintain document management systems; develop and manage consultant contracts and payments; manage organizational memberships; identify opportunities to strengthen workflows.
Conferences, Meetings, and Travel (30%): Build conference and meetings calendars; prepare intelligence packages with contact background and talking points; manage travel logistics including registration, accommodation, transport, and visa support; submit expense reports; track post-conference follow-through.
Organizational Collaboration (10%): Contribute to organizational culture, cross-program activities, and organization-wide events.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Deep alignment with Thousand Currents' values and mission, including commitment to social and/or environmental justice and equity
- Extensive experience in an executive support role, preferably for an executive with fundraising responsibilities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines
- Strong written communication skills; ability to draft correspondence on behalf of senior leaders
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Asana, and Slack; Salesforce proficiency is an asset
- Timezone must allow at least 5 hours/day overlap with GMT-5
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10%)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote, geographically dispersed environment
Compensation: $97,000 USD annually. Full-time, exempt. Location: Remote, anywhere in the United States, Africa, Asia and the Pacific, or Latin America and Caribbean (with GMT-5 overlap requirement).
