New Consultancy Opportunity | Strategy Development Consultant (Remote, Nairobi)
Professionals with extensive experience in strategic planning, humanitarian action, and multi-stakeholder facilitation have a new opportunity to contribute to the future of child protection in emergencies.
The The Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action, co-led by UNICEF, is seeking a Strategy Development Consultant to lead the design of its new strategic framework for 2027–2031, helping define the Alliance's priorities and role in an increasingly complex humanitarian landscape.
The consultancy will run for 4.5 months and is remote (#Nairobi duty station). The selected consultant will facilitate a global participatory process involving Alliance members, UN agencies, donors, local and national organizations, researchers, and child protection practitioners to shape the Alliance's next strategic direction.
The ideal candidate should have:
- At least 10 years of experience in strategic planning.
- Proven expertise leading organizational or network strategy development processes.
- Strong experience facilitating multi-stakeholder consultations and consensus-building.
- Knowledge of humanitarian coordination, child protection, localisation, participation, and equity.
- Excellent analytical, qualitative research, and workshop facilitation skills. Excellent command of English (Arabic, French, or Spanish are considered assets).
