Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Justice Phase 3 (AIPJ3), implemented by DT Global in partnership with The Asia Foundation (TAF), invites civil society organizations (CSOs) to submit proposals under the Criminal Justice Reform Strategy.
This initiative aims to strengthen the role of civil society in advancing integrated criminal justice reforms, promoting effective alternatives to imprisonment, reducing prison overcrowding, and addressing over-criminalization in Indonesia.
Grant Opportunities
AIPJ3 will provide grants to four (4) CSOs, consisting of:
* Three (3) national-level organizations
* One (1) subnational organization
Selected CSOs will collaborate with AIPJ3 government partners to implement activities under one of the following components:
Component A (National Scope)
Promoting non-custodial measures and strengthening technical guidance within the Supreme Court and correctional institutions.
Maximum budget: IDR 1,400,000,000
Component B (National Scope)
Strengthening prosecutorial and correctional policies, restorative justice mechanisms, and probation services.
Maximum budget: IDR 2,100,000,000
Component C (National Scope)
Developing rehabilitation frameworks and reintegration programs for people in conflict with the law.
Maximum budget: IDR 900,000,000
Component D (Subnational Scope)
Supporting pilot initiatives at the local level to demonstrate effective non-custodial practices and community-based corrections.
Maximum budget: IDR 750,000,000
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible organizations should meet below mentioned criteria:
* Legally registered under Indonesian law
* Relevant experience in criminal justice reform, access to justice, human rights, governance, or related social justice issues
* Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with the government, academia, professional associations, and affected communities
* Have basic programmatic and financial management capacity
* Uphold principles of integrity, accountability, non-discrimination, and human rights
Organizations with limited experience but strong innovation, strategic partnerships, or close community engagement are also encouraged to apply. AIPJ3 strongly encourages proposals that integrate gender equality, disability, and social inclusion and climate-responsive approaches. Furthermore, we welcome innovative and collaborative proposals to advance a more just, humane, and inclusive criminal justice system in Indonesia.
