The Latin America and the Caribbean Program of International Crisis Group is seeking a full-time volunteer intern to support the Program. This volunteer internship would suit undergraduate or postgraduate students, who can volunteer for three to six months. We are currently looking for a volunteer intern able to start in September 2026.
The internship position will only be available to students who are enrolled in an academic program and able to integrate the internship into their curriculum for credit; or students who have secured external funding (e.g. grants or scholarships) to support their participation.
Responsibilities:
The volunteer intern will provide assistance with:
* Basic research on social and political data.
* Draft situation reports.
* Production of daily press dossier.
* Maintaining contacts database.
* Other administrative work as required.
Requirements:
* Undergraduate/post-graduate studies social or political sciences
* Excellent verbal and written command of English and Spanish. Knowledge of French or Portuguese is welcome.
* Good knowledge of the Latin American and the Caribbean region.
* Computer skills in Microsoft Office and Internet.
* Candidates must be highly motivated and responsible.
* Crisis Group Internships are unpaid.
