Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger worldwide. Its charter of humanitarian principles—independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, and transparency—has defined its identity for 45 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection, and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around seven areas of activity: Nutrition and Health; Mental Health and Psychosocial Support; Food Security and Livelihoods; Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene; Advocacy; Climate; and Research. Assignment :
• You will join the Operations Department of Action Against Hunger France, which is divided into four geographical pools. You will be immersed in the heart of the field funding challenges faced by an international NGO. Your main objective will be to provide support on the financial management of the countries comprising these pools.
• The assistant will be dedicated to the Central Africa pool (Cameroon, Nigeria, Central African Republic, DRC, Chad, Resilac).
• More specifically, your missions will be as follows:
• Provide support for monitoring the proper accounting and budgetary management of countries and regions;
• Ensure the production and monitoring of bank signature delegation
• ; Conduct monthly checks of accounting and budgetary allocations for missions;
• Carry out random checks to ensure compliance with the "cash management" policy;
• Provide support during monthly/annual accounting and budgetary closings to the Regional Finance Officer;
• Participate in the monitoring of receivables;
• Support the production of documents relating to audits carried out at headquarters or in the field;
• Participate in the monitoring and analysis of the region's financial performance with the Regional Finance Manager;
• Depending on the needs of the missions, provide operational support (preparing a project proposal or report for donors, budget monitoring, transitioning to actual costing, etc.).
Profile:
• We are looking for a candidate who shares our humanitarian commitment and possesses the following qualities and skills:
• You are currently pursuing a degree in accounting, management control, or auditing.
• You are rigorous, methodical, and comfortable with numbers, and you are known for your analytical skills and organizational abilities!
• You are curious and motivated, you already have excellent Excel skills, and you enjoy working with financial management tools.
• You are autonomous, proactive, and a good team player; you know how to manage priorities and ensure accurate follow-up on your projects.
• You are particularly motivated by the humanitarian sector and wish to use your skills to contribute to a meaningful mission.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential!
Employment conditions
Status: 12-month professional training or apprenticeship contract
Location: Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis)
Salary Conditions:
Remuneration based on the legal minimum (percentage of the SMIC depending on age and level of education) over 13 months
21 days of RTT (prorated to time spent in the organization)
Health and life insurance coverage: 80% covered by ACF
Transport: 50% covered by the flat rate between home and the workplace
Meal vouchers: 60% covered by the association for a value of 8 euros

Teleworking: Open to all and from mainland France, our teleworking policy defines the activities of the position requiring mandatory time spent at the association's headquarters, and allows you to choose to work fully or partially the rest of this time remotely. For this position, a mandatory presence at headquarters of 8 days per month has been defined. Time spent at headquarters will also be dedicated to team-building activities: an average of 3 days per month for meetings and team events, and 2 days of mandatory presence during the first 6 weeks of your integration into the team.
