The Africa Constituency Bureau for the Global Fund (ACB) is an independent organisation that brings together African Constituencies represented at the Global Fund to fight HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. These constituencies represent 47 African countries that are recipients of Global Fund support for HIV, TB and malaria control. Their focus is on tackling health policy challenges that are preventing Africa from ending the epidemics.
ACB is recruiting an Executive Director to lead the organization who will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, governance oversight, and ensuring operational excellence within the Bureau. Reporting directly to the ACB Board, the ED plays a pivotal role in shaping the Bureau’s strategic direction, strengthening institutional partnerships, and advocating for the interests of the East and Southern Africa (ESA) and West and Central Africa (WCA) constituencies within the Global Fund framework.
You will have 10+ years in senior leadership in global or regional health institutions or in related fields where you will have developed your resource mobilization and program management skills, and your acute political and diplomacy acumen. You will be able to straddle from strategic thinking to ensuring program delivery, and you will have a strong commitment to improve health programs and outcomes in Africa. Fluency in spoken and written English, and some level of spoken fluency in French is required. The role involves travel across Africa, and you will be based in Addis Ababa or alternatively the ACB is open to discuss a hybrid working arrangement.
