Professional Experience:
I am an accomplished Human Capital, Learning and Organizational Development, and International Development Consultant with over 20 years of progressive experience designing and implementing capacity-building, institutional strengthening, workforce development, and organizational performance improvement initiatives across the public, private, and development sectors.
I voluntarily retired from the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Nigeria, as a Chief Training and Development Officer after a distinguished career leading learning and development programmes, training needs assessments, stakeholder engagement, knowledge management, and organizational capacity development. I currently serve as Board Chairman and Director, Human Capital and Administration at SYG Consults & Global Services Ltd., where I provide strategic leadership in human capital management, organizational development, governance, business advisory, and institutional strengthening.
My expertise spans capacity building, monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), Results-Based Management (RBM), project management, governance, policy analysis, quality management systems, and entrepreneurship development. I have designed and facilitated numerous training programmes for government institutions, private organizations, SMEs, youth groups, women entrepreneurs, and community-based organizations, applying participatory adult learning methodologies that deliver measurable and sustainable outcomes.
As an accredited ILO Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) Trainer, I have successfully trained National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, aspiring entrepreneurs, cooperatives, and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), equipping them with practical business management skills that promote enterprise growth, employment creation, and economic resilience. I also served as a Trainer under the EU-IOM Joint Initiative for the Reintegration of Returned Migrants in Nigeria, supporting entrepreneurship development and sustainable livelihoods.
My commitment to sustainable development extends beyond my professional roles. I volunteer with EcoSmart Initiatives and mentor young people on leadership, entrepreneurship, employability, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), helping to build the next generation of responsible leaders and change-makers.
I have served as Rapporteur for numerous national and international conferences, policy dialogues, technical workshops, and stakeholder consultations organized by government institutions and international development partners, producing high-quality technical reports, meeting communiqués, and policy recommendations that support informed decision-making.
My professional credentials include training in Results-Based Management (RBM) from the MS Training Centre for Development Cooperation (MS TCDC), Arusha, Tanzania; ISO 9001:2015 Lead Implementer and Provisional Auditor certifications; Health, Safety and Environment (HSE Levels 1, 2 and 3) certification; and Fellowship of the Institute of Management Consultants. I am also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Training and Development and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
I am passionate about partnering with governments, donor agencies, development organizations, NGOs, and the private sector to design and implement transformative programmes that strengthen institutions, develop human capital, improve organizational performance, and deliver sustainable development outcomes.
