Professional Experience:

Neal’s journey as a teacher and school leader spans four decades and four continents. Born and educated in England, Neal trained as a teacher and worked in schools in England and the Cayman Islands. With 17 years as an international school principal; first in Zambia, Africa, followed by principal positions in four international schools in Papua New Guinea.
As a senior manager with the Abu Dhabi Education Council in the United Arab Emirates he handled several innovative educational improvement projects, including ADEC’s national leadership development project, including the UAE-Finland partnership and the renowned PPP school improvement initiative for over 200 schools.
On returning to PNG, he took the position as Director of Education with IEA. From 2020 Neal also acted as CEO of the IEA, taking the permanent CEO position in 2022. As the CEO he oversees the operations of the IEA of PNG Ltd., a multi-million-dollar not-for-profit company. Operating 18 schools and colleges the IEA provides high-quality private education to 6000 students in PNG. He is also the Executive Director on the IEA board of directors.
Neal brings broad international experience in education, providing up-to-date leadership skills, organisational management expertise, and strategic planning abilities that offer valuable insight into the demands of contemporary educational institutions.
