Professional Experience:
For 25 years, I have been consistently at the forefront of enhancing efficiency, patient care, and overall health outcomes by strengthening the health system and eliminating preventable deaths by scaling up access to effective prevention interventions and affordable high-quality sexual and reproductive health products and services in normal and humanitarian contexts. With a sturdy background in the Logical Framework Approach, I quickly identify strategic opportunities and tailor programs and activities where necessary to deliver results and maximise the usage of resources.
As an HIV programme consultant and then Health Promotion Programme Coordinator in five Sub-Saharan African countries (Cameroon, DR Congo, Nigeria, South Sudan, and Tanzania) for a Swiss-based Mission Organisation for 18 years, I have designed strategic plans, programs and projects that have helped partners improve their Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, HIV prevention and care interventions. Through my daily work, I developed exceptional diplomatic skills and built strong and trusted relationships with government stakeholders, partner organisations and local institutions. I gained experience developing, coordinating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating successful Sexual and Reproductive Health programmes using the Results-based Management Approach.
Under my leadership and expertise, we created HIV counselling units and treatment centres, Youth-friendly Sexual and Reproductive Health centres and more than 120 support groups for People Living with HIV. Our projects were successfully implemented in secondary and high schools, seminaries, hospitals and other health institutions, work environments, and communities.
When I created a sexual and reproductive health centre for youth and adolescents; BOMOTO in Kinshasa funded mainly by UNFPA, UNICEF and USAID, I built a great collaborative force with the government of DRC and International Organisations in favour of young women and children. Because of the quality of standard operating procedures, services provided and excellent communication with stakeholders, I was recognized for Leadership in the Best Interest of the Child from UNICEF in December 2000.
